Hello and thank you for taking the time to meet our family.
My name is Rebecca and I'm married to Rob. We have three wonderful children. We have two boys and girl. Robbie is our oldest and he's a junior in high school. Jon is a sophmore and Katie is in second grade. ( may add pictures soon
)
Our family is very close and we enjoy spending time together. I enjoy taking care of my family (which includes our fur babies). Rob is an avid bass fisherman and enjoys bait making. In his free time he's often on a lake somewhere catching a big one (We only catch and release !) or making new baits for the next fishing trip. Robbie enjoys restoring his 78 Olds Cutlas. Jon's passion is football. He has been playing for over 8 years. Last but not least, Katie. She is in girl scouts and wants to be a vet when she grows up.
Our family loves animals. The guys love watching sports on tv. I have found that there is always a game of some sort on tv...football...baseball...basketball. If its not sports their watching wrestling. My guys are big kids ... their always playing and goofing off. My husband included. As for the girls... we love shopping.
I'm sure you've had a chance to view our website and have seen our pup-peis, had a chance to read about our family so now I would like to introduce you to our other babies. (I will post pictures soon)
We have 2 kitties, Sassy and Colvert. Each kitty is special and has a story... Sassy was up for adoption and I was looking at the kitties....there were so many kitties looking for new families. There was this cute little kitty and she reached her paw out to me. I would give her a little rub and start to walk off when she would reach out to me again. It was like she was telling me that I was getting her. Well I finally wondered off but all I could do was think about that cute little kitty and I went back to ask questions about her. I ended up bringing her home with us. She's the sweetest kitty and is now very spoiled. Her picture is below.
We have another kitty, Colvert. (picture coming soon) We found her June 2008. She was a stray kitty and she was so hungry and dehydrated. I was firm...no more kitties. I would feed her, get her hydrated and find her a home. That was my plan. Well now it is November 2008 and I'm still feeding her and getting her hydrated
. She's a very thirsty kitty. Anyway, as for the new home. I think she's found it
. Sassy loves that little kitty. Those 2 are always together. Sassy loves holding Colvert down and washing her little face.
We have a 55 ga fish tank with 1 goldfish, 1 stick fish (algea eater that we've had 6 years) and a snail named Gary that we've also had 6 years. Sassy's favorite spot is sitting on a stool in front of the tank watching them swim.
We also have 2 suggies. For those of you that don't know what a "suggie" is.....well its a Sugar Glider. These little guys are so cute (pictures will be added soon). Stitchie Buns was our first suggie. He's a very nosey little guy. Sugar Gliders are nocturnal and do better with a companion so we set out to find him a buddy. One day I found this ad...Suggie looking for home....I called and promptly went to get her. I'm not sure what her name was before but since we have a Stitch my daughter wanted to name her Leelo. Well we had a long drive home from getting Leelo and well kids can say the darndest things. My adorable little girl was thinking....oh boy was she ever..Ok she had many questions concerning Stitchie and Leelo's living arrangements and she expected answers for those questions. She wanted to know if they would share the same pouch. I wasn't sure but I said probably. When a 7 year old gets quiet...BE AFRAID... be very afraid because they are thinking of more questions. Ok so Stitchie and Leelo will be living together.....ummmm yeeeeessss...shouldn't they be married?? At 7 I just don't think I should probably go into great detail about everything so I gladly agreed that they should be married. I was sure that would end the questions and all of that thinking....did I mention I hate long car rides....ok so now we have Mr & Mrs. Buns... and then she was wanting to know when they will have babies. I was like ..oh I don't know...maybe...we'll just have to wait and see. Then I told Katie that I think Leelo would like some quite time.
We also have a chinchilla named Dusty. (picture will be added soon) I'm aware that we have 2 pets with the same name. Dusty is a wild little guy and he is neat to watch. His fur is sooooo soft but boy oh boy does he have strong back feet. This is Robbie's chinchilla but I think he's mine
.
Robbie also has a leopard gecko that he's had for 3 or 4 years. I do not like lizards, snakes or spiders!!! My child knew that but he wanted him because at 12 lizards are so cool. He has taken really good care of him and has only lost him in his room once. I was not informed he was M.I.A. until Robbie had found him. When your son comes to tell you how happy he was that he found the lizard...you might not want to ask any additional questions and just leave it at that.
This is our family. I hope you've enjoyed meeting everyone.
